5th International Workshop on 5G and Future Wireless Technology (5GFWT 2020)

5G Wireless is one of the most importance research areas at present. Several working groups all over the world are investigating various aspects of 5G Wireless/Cellular Systems. The investigation and research has started for the next generation cellular system as well. The workshop 5GFWT is focused on latest development in present system and beyond. The workshop will not only deliberate the latest development and achievements but also provides a platform for the timely exchange of research, findings and challenges encountered in building a practical system. It seeks to encourage interdisciplinary discussion in order to help maintain a high relevance in numerous applications/vertical related research activities. We seek paper submission in relevant fields, including the following:

  • Advancement in Phy layer and channel modeling
  • AI/ML/DL based wireless communications and networks
  • Wireless communication and control system co-design
  • Cooperative communication and device-to-device (D2D) relaying for URLLC;

  • Efficient techniques for out-of-band radiation reduction
  • New coding solutions for small resource blocks
  • Advances in synchronization, channel estimation & equalization for multicarrier and wideband singlecarrier waveforms
  • Software Defined Networks for 5G; NFV in 5G Networks
  • Cognitive Radio in 5G Networks
  • Millimetre wave Communication, Millimetre wave backhaul and access systems
  • D2D and M2M Communication, Visible light and 5G communication
  • Potentials and challenges of URLLC in mmWave and terahertz-frequency band
  • Exploiting artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced machine learning (ML) techniques in enabling URLLC; Performance prediction and monitoring of IIoT networks
  • Ultra-wide band (UWB) communications for high capacity and extreme low latency
  • PHY/MAC design for URLLC and mMTC; Waveform design for low latency communication; Advanced channel coding; Optimized low-latency decoders for short packet communication
  • Initial and random-access procedures for reliable and real-time access
  • Fast and reliable simulation through sampling techniques such as importance sampling and Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC)
  • Proof of concept (PoC) results for URLLC, isochronous networking, and wireless motion control
