IEEE International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems
13-16 December 2021 // Hyderabad, India

Women In Engineering (WiE)

IEEE ANTS is a premier IEEE conference on advanced networking and telecommunications topics. IEEE ANTS is financially and technically supported by IEEE Communications Society. The distinguishing characteristic of IEEE ANTS is the promotion of an intense dialogue between academic and industry to bridge the gap between academic research, industry initiatives, and governmental policies. This is fostered through panel discussions, keynotes, invited talks, and industry exhibits, where academia is exposed to state-of-the-practice and results from trials and interoperability experiments. This year the theme is “Ubiquitous Digital Connectivity and Economic Prosperity for All“. IEEE ANTS 2021 will be held at Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) Hyderabad which was established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1996.

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is a global network of IEEE members and volunteers dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists with a goal to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. Keeping with the IEEE WIE pledge to work towards gender-diversified panels at all IEEE conferences, IEEE ANTS 2021 presents a separate WIE track for paper presentations.

The authors of the selected (accepted) papers will be invited to submit the extended versions of their papers to Journal of Banking and Financial Technology (co published by Springer and Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology). The details about the journal can be found in: https://www.springer.com/journal/42786.

Message from the WiE Co-Chairs

In recent times, the global health crisis and climate change summits have taken centre stage in all our discussions. We are continuously reminded of the complex problems with critical consequences. We can choose to be paralyzed by these problems or we can take an active role in finding solutions.

The 15th International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunication Systems (IEEE ANTS 2021) conference theme “Ubiquitous Digital Connectivity and Economic Prosperity for All” aspires to be a part of the solution. One of the great strengths of IEEE ANTS conferences is its ability to attract a diverse group of researchers and professionals working in both academics and industry, together once a year to exchange ideas and research on various topics that aim to bridge the gap between academic research, industry initiatives, and governmental policies.

The Women in Engineering (WiE), an affinity group of IEEE, is a special community of faculty, industry leaders, future engineers and scientists coming together to create a vision for a better future. At this year’s IEEE ANTS WiE mini conference track, women from across the telecom and networking space have come forward to share their technical expertise in varied research issues such as Blockchain, Optical Networking, Connectivity for Health Care, 5G Optimization etc…  and  to make a positive difference in the related domains.

Out of the many valuable research findings submitted from authors across the globe, 14 papers were accepted for presentation at the mini conference. Each paper was blind reviewed by three, sometimes four technical experts. These papers were grouped into four sub-tracks: Networking, Communication, Blockchain and Optical Networks.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all program committee members whose diligence, dedication, cooperation, and hard work helped produce a high quality program. The external reviewers who offered their expertise on specific topics and all authors who submitted papers also deserve our special thanks. A grateful acknowledgement to Dr. Sakshi for accepting to share her ideas in the invited talk.

We hope that you enjoy the conference, the reading of these proceedings and find them as a source of inspiration for further developments.
